Firearm Sales

General Information

  • Maryland and federal law heavily regulate firearm sales.
  • We will assist you through paperwork and explain potential issues.
  • Firearms are categorized as Regulated and Non-Regulated.

Non-Regulated Firearms

  • Includes most shotguns, semi-automatic rifles, and bolt-action rifles.
  • Requirements:
    • Minimum age: 18
    • Complete a simple form
    • Provide a valid government-issued ID
    • Pass NICS background check

Regulated Firearms

  • Includes all handguns, certain lower receivers.
  • For handguns made in the last 50 years, purchasers must:
    • Obtain a Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL), or
    • Be a current/retired LEO, Armed Forces member.
  • For handguns older than 50 years, C&R pistols, or regulated receivers, no HQL is required.
  • State and Federal paperwork will need to be completed and a mandatory seven day wait.

Firearm Transfers

Before Sending

  • We will send our FFL to the shipping FFL once we have their email or fax.

Transfer Fees

  • Regulated firearms: $100 (discounts for multiple items)
  • Non-regulated firearms: $50 ($55 with credit/debit card), (discounts for multiple items)
  • Silencers: $100 (additional fees possible for first-time eForm users)
  • Other NFA items: Contact us for pricing.

Processing After Arrival

  • One business day is needed to log firearms and prepare paperwork.
  • If tracking shows your item has arrived, please visit the next business day.

Important Policies

  1. All Sales Are Final
    • New guns: covered by manufacturer warranty.
    • Used guns: 30-day limited warranty (except military surplus and those sold “as is”).
  2. Internal Locks
    • New pistols (post-2002) require internal locks.
    • Omega-style locks available for $35.
  3. Cancellation Fees
    • Regulated firearms and special orders: $150 fee if not delivered due to denial or customer decision.
    • Non-regulated firearms: $50 fee.
  4. Storage Fees
    • After 3 months: $25 per month.
    • After 1 year without payment: property considered abandoned.
    • NFA items are exempt until ATF transfer approval arrives (then 30 days to pick up).
  5. Magazine Restrictions
    • Maryland residents cannot take possession of magazines over 10 rounds in the state. It is legal to own any capacity magazine.
    • Options for magazines over 10 rounds:
      • Block magazine permanently ($10 service fee each).
      • Divest magazine (receive $10 credit each, up to 3).
      • Magazines shipped separately cannot be blocked; must be returned (handling and shipping fees apply).
    • Blocked magazines’ final capacity may vary but will not exceed 10 rounds.
  6. Marijuana Use and Firearm Purchases
    • Federal law prohibits firearm ownership by marijuana users (even with a medical card).
    • We may decline sales if we suspect use (e.g., smell of marijuana).
